Update 09 – 2018-06-21: 334 labs / 56 countries
58 labs added, 32 updated and five new countries on the map. Special thanks to Tibo Alberny and John Whitmore for their help cleaning up all the submissions. More updates to come very soon!

With the help of some lovely folks from all over the internet, as well as a few of my own notes (kept on napkins and cigarette packets over the years), I present to you an in-exhaustive map of places you can get your film developed and scanned – worldwide.

Each of the labs you’ll see on the map below are real, active and have been used by yours truly, or members of the film photography community.
This is a living, breathing map and will be constantly updated with m

re detail – better information on services, film formats developed, scanning options, public darkroom facilities, wet printing (color and black and white) – everything we can get our hands on. Scroll to the bottom of this page to submit your own updates.

We started off with ~60 labs in 15 countries in September 2016 and at the time of the last update on June 21st 2018, now list 334 labs in 58 countries. More updates will be coming very soon as I clear out a bit of a backlog. Please contribute labs not yet covered, as well as details not yet currently included for existing listings.

In addition, if there’s some detail that you feel should be added to all of the listings (turnaround times?), please let me know either in the comments below.

If you’re having difficulty loading the map below, you can also view it directly on Google Maps here. You can also add this map as an overlay in your iOS or Android Google Maps app.

Can’t seem to search? No problem: click on the top right icon and you’ll be able to view the map in full screen and search away to your heart’s content.

Has someone been missed? Details incorrect? Want to contribute? Use the form below or this link to make a new submission, or to update an existing entry.

  29. Nice map! I’d like to add 2 photo labs in Quebec; Borealis (http://www2.borealislab.qc.ca/borealis/en-home) who I think still develop E6 film, and Lozeau (https://www.lozeau.com/en-CA/company/contact/) who definitely still develop 110 film. Both in Montreal, and both good labs.

    1. Thanks for sharing, Mike. They’ve both been added and if you can supply any of the missing info on each listing, it’d be a great help. Cheers.

  30. I have used both for developing my film…
    Pro Photo Connection in Irvine, California – http://www.prophotoconnection.com/ (C41, E6 & BW)
    Dexter’s Camera in Ventura, California – http://www.dexterscamera.com/ (C41)

    1. Thanks Edward, added them both. Can you help provide the missing information in the listings?

  31. Great idea! I have a couple to add that I found while traveling in S. America:
    Argentina:
    Buenos Aires Color
    Piedras 980 (C1070AAT)
    Ciudad Autónoma.
    Buenos Aires, Argentina.
From what I remember, they process C41, E6, and black and white and seem to have quite a few lab services. They even rushed my development overnight for no extra charge because I had a flight back home the next day.
    Chile:
    Photolab
    Calle Merced 832,
    Santiago, Región Metropolitana,
    Chile
So this place is supposedly good, and supposedly develops all types of film, offers push and pull processing, and whatever else you need. I have no firsthand experience however, because I mistakenly went into the shop with the big “FUJIFILM” awning two doors down. Don’t do that. The Fujifilm place is a standard 1 hour photo, which is convenient, but asking them to push my Cinestill in my broken Spanish did not ultimately get me the results I wanted.
Others I didn’t try, but found in searching for film labs:
    Migo
    Las Azucenas 2997,
    Providencia. Santiago de Chile
    JPF Laboratorio Fotográfico
    Reyes Lavalle 3320, Las Condes
    Santiago 7550121
Other useful things I learned traveling with film in South America: Developing = Revelado. Push = Forzar, Forzado. One stop = Un punto. Rolls of film = rollos.
One hour photos are common and heavily used in the cities, but quality in my experience is mediocre.

    1. Very useful Mike, thank you.

      1. in adition, JPF lab is the only place that develops E6 in Chile

  32. Please include http://www.kontrastlab.de for Cologne, Germany. 30 years of analog film development and printing. Still going strong.

    1. Added. Please review the listing and provide any missing data, thanks!

    – Foto Speed http://fotospeed.at/ map https://goo.gl/maps/7WEjGfk4JXD2, C41 dev €4,90, B&W €6,90
    – Foto Leutner, http://fotoleutner.at/ – but I personally had bad experience with their service, so won’t recommend them. Prices similar, C41+scan from €11, B&W from €14, E6 from €15
In Munich, Germany there is also Fotoflash Fachlabor Prices C41+scan €11, B&W+scan €12

    1. I’m in Argentina (South América), I’m adding my lab right now

    2. laboratorio fotografico jpf ltda en america del sur, en chile
