Update 09 – 2018-06-21: 334 labs / 56 countries
58 labs added, 32 updated and five new countries on the map. Special thanks to Tibo Alberny and John Whitmore for their help cleaning up all the submissions. More updates to come very soon!

With the help of some lovely folks from all over the internet, as well as a few of my own notes (kept on napkins and cigarette packets over the years), I present to you an in-exhaustive map of places you can get your film developed and scanned – worldwide.

Each of the labs you’ll see on the map below are real, active and have been used by yours truly, or members of the film photography community.
This is a living, breathing map and will be constantly updated with m

re detail – better information on services, film formats developed, scanning options, public darkroom facilities, wet printing (color and black and white) – everything we can get our hands on. Scroll to the bottom of this page to submit your own updates.

We started off with ~60 labs in 15 countries in September 2016 and at the time of the last update on June 21st 2018, now list 334 labs in 58 countries. More updates will be coming very soon as I clear out a bit of a backlog. Please contribute labs not yet covered, as well as details not yet currently included for existing listings.

In addition, if there’s some detail that you feel should be added to all of the listings (turnaround times?), please let me know either in the comments below.

If you’re having difficulty loading the map below, you can also view it directly on Google Maps here. You can also add this map as an overlay in your iOS or Android Google Maps app.

Can’t seem to search? No problem: click on the top right icon and you’ll be able to view the map in full screen and search away to your heart’s content.

Has someone been missed? Details incorrect? Want to contribute? Use the form below or this link to make a new submission, or to update an existing entry.

  11. I don’t know about the capital of Croatia (Zagreb) except that there are a quite a few photolabs there, but I can confirm that there are two labs in Osijek that are still developing film.
    FOTOREKLAM d.o.o.
    Kapucinska 39
    Osijek, Croatia
They’re doing C-41 development. No cross-processing. Developing a roll costs 8 kunas per roll (1.08 Euros), and scanning costs 10 kunas per roll (1.5 Euros). The format is JPG, and the resolution is always 2400×1600, since it’s all done on an Agfa machine. Despite the JPG format and the resolution, the scans are detailed and good enough for web/insta services. They’re allegedly also developing b/w film, but unlike color ones which are done in 40-ish minutes, you’ll wait quite a bit for those.
    Digital Foto Studio C
    Županijska ul. 13
    Osijek, Croatia
Also C-41 development, the same affordable prices as the studio above, but their scans come in a much higher resolution (3637×2433). I suspect that these guys are not using a drum scan since the scans lack fine detail – it’s probably interpolation, although good enough for most uses. Also, you’ll have to wait for a couple of hours for them to develop + scan your films.
    Hope this helps.

    1. p.s. Just saw the form, added them on the map!

There are ALOT of places in Berlin. I can fill in some new entries, but before I do.. Are there just a couple of entries on the map or have I missed something? (fotoimpex etc)

  20. Here are two from Tallinn, Estonia, that a friend of mine from Helsinki (and probably many Finnish photographers because of low prices) is using: http://www.fotomeisterpluss.ee/en and http://digifoto.ee

  21. In Ulaanbaatar there’s a shop called “PhotoMan” that does C41 and scanning. Occasionally have a small stock of 35mm film for sale. It’s a blue shop west of the State Department store on the right side of the street. Unfortunately, they don’t have a website or FB. It’s quite cheap but the services aren’t anything special. Here’s a photo of the place to make it easy to find! http://imgur.com/a/rhP4F

    1. Iain, are you able to get me an address? I should be able to add it then!
